Karate for Kids
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. Our program is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to the technical skills of traditional Taekwondo. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as:
GOALS • COURTESY • LOYALTY • RESPECT ATTITUDE • PERSERVERANCE • HONOR SELF CONTROL • INTEGRITY
This program develops greater self-esteem, discipline and leadership skills. Our curriculum also includes material needed in today’s modern world such as Child Abduction Prevention in partnership with AmberAlert.com and Bullying Prevention in partnership with the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.

Krav Maga is the official self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It is a simple, effective self defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios. Krav Maga promotes finishing a fight as quickly as possible. Students learn to defend against all variety of attacks and are taught to counter in the quickest and most efficient way.
Team Altitude is our tournament training and demonstration team. Our instructors have 50 years combined experience as a student, instructor, and competitor of the martial arts. This program was created as a specialized, elite training program open to a select number of students who are a good fit for this program and who want to do one or more of the following:
- Participate in public martial arts demonstrations (“demo team”)
- Train on a competitive level for competition
Through opportunities provided by this program, members will develop a greater perspective of the world by getting outside their comfort zone and being constantly challenged to learn and grow mentally and physically on and off the mat.
Members of this group will be taught how to have grace in victory and loss. Whether it’s a mistake or mishap during a public demonstration, or facing disappointment in the competition ring, members will be encouraged to overcome the challenges and personal weaknesses that will be exposed with this level of training. The result will be a stronger mind, body and spirit.
Hearts 4 Others – H4O
Hearts 4 Others is the inspiration of a 12 year old boy, who recognized there was one thing he liked better than learning a sport and that is teaching others. The more training he received, the need to teach others grew stronger.
We exist to encourage strength and confidence in special needs kids through Taekwondo training. A special kind of solution to physical therapy needs of special students.
H4O leaders are students and have dedicated their time to strengthen our community and lead others through this program.
