Community Outreach

Please contact us if you are interested in a self-defense seminar for your business, group, or club. Nationally Certified Martial Arts and Fitness Instructor Ms. Carey Daughtry offers her services free as part of her personal and professional commitment to promoting safety and awareness in the community.

We specialize in:

Child Safety: The ATA is positively positioned to reach children and adults with the message of abduction prevention. As part of the safety campaign, ATA has partnered with AMBERAlert .com. According to local instructor, Carey Daughtry, education is the key to child safety. “Children of all ages, gender and race are vulnerable to child abduction,” Daughtry says. “Through age-appropriate instruction, awareness of warning signs and ID activities such as fingerprinting, collectively ATA schools around the world hope to have a significant impact on reducing the risk of child abduction and victimization.”

Bullying Prevention: Bullying has become a very serious problem that has brought the involvement local school policies and even State law. Violence, truancy, and suicides can be some of the results of bullying. Our philosophy is to prevent the problem before it happens or escalates to violence. We have a program of 12 different lessons based on our partnership with the accredited Olweus Bullying Prevention Program that focus on prevention. It’s not a “karate” solution, it’s a prevention solution.

Fight Like A Girl: Our school has the only nationally accredited and licensed “Fight Like A Girl” program developed by Kym Rock in the State of Georgia. This is NOT a karate program. This is a personal violence prevention program that teaches women and girls ages 10+ how to “be an escape artist”. The program teaches educates women on how to avoid being a victim of personal violence, and includes escape techniques made to defend against the modern day attacker in our modern day lives. One of the unique things about this program is that every technique is designed specifically for women. Not that a martial arts self defense program is without value, but most martial arts techniques are designed for men and would be ineffective for the average woman. Classes are designed to be fun, entertaining, and educational. Get a great workout while learning life-saving skills.

Please contact us if your class or group is interested in participating in our free programs.
