Carey Daughtry has been training in martial arts for over 20 years, with a background in Hapkido, Aikido, Ju-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, and Kenpo (Ed Parker System). She joined the American Taekwondo Association in 1999 while pursuing her collegiate Masters degree, and in the same year entered their nationally certified instructor training program. She has held several lead and assisting instructor positions in various martial art schools and programs. She opened up her own school in 2007 for the purpose of serving the community with a high quality, professional martial arts program. Ms. Daughtry is constantly bringing cutting edge programming to her school such as “ATA Fit”, “KidznPower Child Safety Training”, Olweus “Bullying Prevention Program”and most recently added “Kym Rock’s Fight Like A Girl Program”. In 2010 she was nominated and elected to a position she still maintains on the Board of the Richmond Hill YMCA.
Patrick Morgan Certified Instructor
Mr. Morgan began Songahm Taekwondo in October 1994 under Master Richard. He is a 4th degree Black Belt and Nationally Certified Instructor and has completed certification classes in Songahm Taekwondo Curriculum. He is a Nationally Certified Level 3 Tournament Judge and CPR and First Aid Certified. Mr. Morgan joins Ms. Daughtry in providing professional and quality instruction at the school and inspiring students to their highest potential.
J. T. Moir Assistant Instructor
J.T. Moir joined the Richmond Hill ATA school in 2008, achieving a State Championship in Weapons in 2009. Mr. Moir attended the Olweus Bullying Prevention Seminar in Orlando, FL, helping bring the program to the school where it was added to the curriculum starting in 2010. He currently is the ATA Demonstration Team Coach, and assists as an Instructor with Junior Basic and Adult Classes. An advocate for the enjoyment and benefits of training as a family, Mr. Moir, his wife, and their two children are all black belts at the school. Mr. Moir joins Ms. Daughtry in providing a quality and encouraging training experience for students of all ages.
